south african sprint runner, Oscar Pistorius was born today 22nd November. Pistorius had his two legs amputated when he was barely a year old due to an illness called "FIBULAR HEMIMELIA" (congenital absence of the fibula ). he competes in evnts for single below knee amputees and for able-bodied athletehes.
on February 14 2013, being valentine's day, Pistorius was charged with the murder of his girl friend Reeva Steenkamp, who he shot at his residence in the early hours of that morning. he was granted bail on 22nd February and at a subsequent hearing on august 19th 2013, dates were set for another hearing from 3rd-20th march 2014
