MAVIN DUO OF TIWA SAVAGE AND DR. SID TO HOST EDDIES AWARD

Its so funny that Tiwa Savage just wedded Teebillz and Dr Sid just got engaged to Simi Omoso and both of them would be hosting the headies award
Tiwa Savage and Dr SID have been announced as hosts for the 2013 edition of The Headies awards holding this December.

According to the organizers of the awards, both artistes have been selected in line with the awards’ tradition of picking talented and inspiring entertainers, to host the awards ceremony which parades some of the continent’s biggest entertainers.

 ‘I’ve been trying to host this event for the past 6 years, I’ve waited to be called to no avail and this year I’m hosting. Wow! I’m so emotional right now, I’m glad for this opportunity’, Dr SID expressed.

The hosts Tiwa and SID who are coincidentally label mates at Mavin Records, were (first time) winners at awards show in 2012 and 2011 respectively – Tiwa won the ‘Best Vocal Performance (Female)’ while Dr SID bagged the awards for ‘Best Pop Single’ and ‘Revelation of the Year’.

This year rapper Olamide leads the nominees list with a record nine nods.

The Headies 2013 will hold on Boxing Day, December 26 at the Grand Ball Room of the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.
